Alchemy Theatre is committed to producing entertaining, high-quality enlish-language theatre in Paris. From showcasing updated versions of works by established writers such as Shakespeare and Chekhov, to championing contemporary writers - particularly those from underrepresented communities - our focus is always artistic excellence.
Our work is known for its bold, politically and socially urgent storytelling. We strive to hold a mirror to the urgent realities of our political and social landscape. From coercive control and female empowerment, to loneliness and substance abuse - at the core of all we do is a commitment to lifting voices that too often go unheard. Through delving honestly into the human soul, we uncover the invisible threads that unite us.
Community is at the heart of what we do at Alchemy Theatre. We seek to create a safe and welcoming space of communion between our artists and our audiences. To date we have been proud to collaborate with artists from across the world, including countries such as Scotland, New Zealand, Ireland, Canada, Australia, the United States of America, India, France, Romania, South Africa, Spain, Belgium, India, Greece, Iran, Russia and Wales. It's the chorus of these diverse voices that sparks the true alchemy of theatre.
