TAPIS THéâtre

Tapis Théâtre was founded in 2016 by Charlotte Pleasants, who initially ran the project from her Parisian apartment as a way to platform local artists and build an artistic community. Since then, it has blossomed into a vibrant showcase of new voices and stories, with over fifty artists performing on the tapis over eight years.

It has helped develop shows, build characters, and foster community. Many ten-minute Tapis Théâtre performances have gone on to become fully fledged productions, making it the perfect stepping stone and platform for artists to grow and showcase their work.

In November 2024, Tapis Théâtre celebrated its thirteenth edition with two evenings of performances, featuring fourteen ten-minute acts. Each piece was developed in close collaboration with practising industry professionals—writers, directors, intimacy directors, and producers. More than just a stage, Tapis Théâtre has become a space for performance, growth, and connection to the creative pulse of Paris’s thriving arts scene.
