  • NATHALIE ALLISON

    SHE/HER

    Nathalie is a certified intimacy coordinator, working and living in Paris since 2018. Nathalie worked professionally in film and theatre as an actress for 10 years, in French and English, and began her journey in intimacy coordination in 2021.

    With expert training from Principal Intimacy Professionals, she has worked as an intimacy coordinator for numerous feature films, series, and as an intimacy director for several plays in Paris. As a theatre director, Nathalie has had the pleasure of directing the European premiere of Jane Coyle's Both Sides in 2024, as well as several showcase productions at Cours Florent drama school. Her passion lies in telling the stories that are often forgotten, with a passion for complex female characters, political texts, and strong script-writing.

  • Hannah Coyle

    SHE/HER

    Hannah is an Irish actor and writer. She trained at the Lyric Drama Studio Belfast and Cours Florent, where she won a two-year international scholarship. Hannah has worked extensively in the UK and Ireland, including productions of The Crucible and The Playboy of the Western World at the Lyric Theatre, Belfast. Her previous Alchemy credits include Olga in Three Sisters, Katherine Minola in The Taming of the Shrew and Stella in Both Sides, as well as Nick Bottom in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Malvolia in Twelfth Night and Cordelia/The Fool in Lear for Cygnet Theatre. Hannah’s second play, an updated version of Chekhov’s Three Sisters was commissioned for and produced by Alchemy in 2024.

  • Anthea Freya Hill

    SHE/HER

    Anthea Freya Hill is a British-born, New Zealand-raised actor, director, teacher, playwright, and poet. She has extensive training and experience in classical text and has played leading roles, such as Helena in A Midsummer Night's Dream and Beatrice in The Changeling. After moving to Paris in August 2022, she co-founded Alchemy Theatre and co-directed their debut show The Taming Of The Shrew by William Shakespeare. Anthea has performed as Masha in Alchemy’s contemporary adaptation of Three Sisters, and her self-written play Pinned. Anthea’s next acting project will be at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe with the play, Alone.

  • Stuart McDougall

    HE/HIM

    Stuart McDougall is a Canadian director, producer, and performer currently splitting his time between London and Paris. As a director: Three Sisters (Alchemy Theatre), The Milkyway Express, fix/flux (In Arms Theatre), Ministers of Grace (New Works Festival), asst. Bright Burning (Studio Theatre); As an actor and creator: Elegant Animal (In Arms Theatre), The Curing Room (Theatre Outré/Theatre BSMT), Hamlet (Shakespeare by the Bow); Stuart is also an experienced producer and administrator, working under the banner of Prairie Wind Arts and previously holding roles with the High Commission of Canada in the UK, Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society, Banff Centre, In Arms Theatre Collective, and more. He holds a BFA (Acting) from the University of Alberta.

  • Charlotte Pleasants

    SHE/HER

    Charlotte Pleasants is a director, producer, and actor from New Zealand. After relocating to Paris in 2015, Charlotte became an active force in the city’s anglophone theatre scene. She helped to establish the international theatre festival Paris Fringe, spearheaded the creation of the scratch night Tapis Théâtre, and co-founded Cygnet Theatre, a Shakespeare-focused company based in Paris. Her credits include Benvolio in Romeo and Juliet, Goneril in Lear, Sir Toby Belch in Twelfth Night, and Hermia in A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

    Charlotte’s directing and producing work includes co-directing The Taming of the Shrew with Alchemy Theatre, producing Tapis Théâtre, and co-producing Alone alongside Luke Thornborough for the 2025 Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

OUR ORIGIN STORY


Alchemy Theatre was founded in Paris by a group of creatives who, inspired by the city’s rich culture and connected through years of collaboration on artistic projects, decided to combine their shared knowledge and passion for theatre to produce work that speaks to their own artistic vision.
