SISTERS

by Hannah Coyle,
after Anton Chekhov

Théâtre de l’Opprimé December 2025
Le Pavé d’Orsay October 2024

This classic Russian play was adapted by Alchemy’s Hannah Coyle. A poignant and quietly powerful family drama about the Prozorov sisters—Olga, Masha, and Irina—who dream of returning to the vibrant life of Moscow while stuck in a provincial town. Falling in and out of love with the wrong people, trapped by expectations and unfulfilled ambitions, the sisters struggle to find meaning in a world that seems to be passing them by. It's a bittersweet portrait of longing, loss and the elusive hope for a better future.

This production was initially presented as a staged reading in October 2024 and will be brought to a full production in December 2025.
